Thank you for choosing Rosie’s Cakes! Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before placing your order.

All quotes are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated.

Deposit: Your order is only reserved once a 50% deposit is received (or 100% for cakes booked less than 7 days in advance). Deposits are refundable up to 14 days before the scheduled pick-up date, unless custom toppers or special items have already been started or purchased.

Final Payment: The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before your scheduled pick-up date. Late payments may result in cancellation of your order.

Design & Colour Disclaimer: Please note that colours, designs, and decorative elements may vary slightly from inspiration photos due to the handmade nature of cakes, ingredient availability, and lighting differences. I always aim to match the look as closely as possible.

Cake Changes: Changes to your cake order (such as size, description, or flavours) are generally accepted up to 14 days before your event. All changes must be confirmed in writing and are not guaranteed until acknowledged.

Tiered cakes and fondant decorations: Tiered cakes will include internal supports such as plastic or wooden dowels to ensure stability. Please take care when cutting and serving to remove all supports.

Fondant toppers or decorations may contain toothpicks, skewers, polystyrene, wire, or other structural materials. These should not be consumed. If you would prefer fully edible decorations, please discuss this with me when placing your order.

Delivery and Set-up: While collection is preferred for most cakes, delivery is strongly recommended for tiered cakes as they require special handling and setup to ensure they arrive safely.

Delivery is $25 Auckland wide for single tier cakes, for tiered contact me for a quote.

Someone must be available to receive your cake at the arranged time. If no one is present, your cake will be returned to Rosie’s Cakes and a new pick-up or delivery time will need to be arranged.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled date will receive a full refund (excluding any started or purchased custom elements). Cancellations within 14 days of the event are non-refundable. If I need to cancel your order for any reason, a full refund will be issued.

Storage and travel: Rosie’s Cakes is not responsible for any damage once the cake has left the premises. Please transport your cake on a flat, cool, clean surface – the car floor is generally safer than the seat. Air-conditioning is recommended, especially in warmer weather.

Buttercream cakes should be kept chilled until the day of serving. Allow the cake to come to room temperature before consuming (usually 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the season).

Cakes covered in fondant should be stored somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight. Avoid the fridge if possible, as fondant may develop condensation when brought back to room temperature. If this happens, do not touch the surface – the moisture will usually evaporate on its own.

Buttercream and fondant cakes are sensitive to heat and humidity. Rosie’s Cakes cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting from being left outdoors or in unsuitable conditions.

Note: Freezing your cake after collection is not recommended, as some elements may have already been frozen during the preparation process.

Shelf Life/Leftovers: Cakes are best enjoyed on the day of collection. Leftovers can usually be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2–3 days. However, texture and quality may change slightly over time.

Photography: Rosie’s Cakes reserves the right to photograph your cake and use the images for

promotional purposes online and in print.

Allergens: All products are made in a home kitchen that handles gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts, soy, and other allergens. While every effort is made to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee any product is allergen-free. It is your responsibility to inform guests of any allergen risks.

Refunds: If there is an issue with your cake, please freeze it immediately and return it on the next business day. Refunds are not guaranteed and are considered on a case-by-case basis.
