Deposit for custom cakes: Your order becomes reserved only when 50% (100% in the case the cake is booked less than 1 week in advance) deposit is received. The deposit is refundable up to 2 weeks prior to the date of pick up.
Final Payment for custom/bespoke cakes: The final balance is due one week before pick up.
Cake Changes: Changes to your cake order: size, description, flavours, etc. will likely be accepted until 2 weeks prior to the event date. After that, I may not be able to accept any changes.
Tiered cakes and fondant decorations: Tiered cakes will have plastic and sometimes wooden supports inside of them. Please take care when cutting to ensure they are safely removed. Fondant toppers and creations may contain polystyrene, tooth picks or other structural inserts. Please don’t eat these! If you wish for your fondant toppers to be fully edible, please confirm this with me to see if this is possible.
Delivery and Set-up: Rosie’s cakes prefers collection of cakes however this is not always possible. I offer Auckland wide delivery which is at a flat rate of $25 for most orders. However tiered cakes or multiple items being ordered for delivery may incur additional charges. Please contact me if you wish to discuss the possibility of delivery.
Delivery info: Someone must be available to receive your order at the time of delivery. If no one is present, your items will be returned to Rosie’s Cakes, and you'll need to arrange pickup at a later time that suits us both.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation: Cakes cancelled prior to 14 days will be refunded in full so long as custom toppers etc have not been started/purchased. After this, deposit will not be refunded. If, for some reason, I need to cancel your order, it will be refunded in full.
Storage and travel: Rosie’s Cakes is not responsible for the cake once it has left the property. Ensure you have a cool, flat, clean surface to transport your cake. The car floor is generally safer than the seat. Please ensure buttercream cakes remain chilled until the day of eating. Allow the cake to come up to room temperature for consuming as this is when it tastes the best! This obviously happens a lot quicker in summer than in winter. Between 30 mins and 2 hours is usually about right. If your cake is covered in fondant, store somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight, preferably not in the fridge. If fridge is the only option, please be aware that fondant may get condensation on it whilst it comes up to room temperature. Do not touch the cake, just let it sit and eventually this will disappear as it comes to room temperature.
Cutting: To get the most servings out of your cake, cut into squares rather than wedges.
Photography: Rosie’s Cakes reserve the right to use any photographs taken by me for display.
Allergens: Our products may contain or have come into contact with milk, egg, wheat, nuts and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk.
Refunds: If there is an issue with your order please note that you must freeze the cake immediately and return it to Rosie’s Cakes on the next business day for a refund to be considered.
